Uninterrupted power supply to Jaffna with new plant Posted by admin 4 October, 2008 (0) Comment Electricity has been supplied to only 150,000 out of the 600,000 population in Jaffna. Though 36 MW of electricity is needed for Jaffna, the CEB supplies only 19 MW. Thus the CEB had to impose a one and half hour power cut. To cater to the electricity needs of the Jaffna District a 36 MW capacity power generator has been constructed in Chunnakam by the Power and Energy Ministry. Picture by
